Introduction

For some background processes the Epowerhr application will use a fixed IP address to connect to an external service.

This fixed IP address can be used for whitelisting IP addresses on that external service. 

Examples of external services where you might want to limit the access based on an IP address:

• SFTP server: the Epowerhr app can retrieve data from an external SFTP server
• Outlook/Exchange server: the Epower app can sent Outlook Meeting Requests in name of another domain

Fixed outbound IP addresses

Every environment (both Production and Acceptance) has its own fixed IP address.

For each environment we have also foreseen a secondary fixed IP address for the disaster recovery environment. It is recommended to also configure this second fixed IP address in case we have to switch to this disaster recovery environment.
