This article describes how to create boarding tasks.
Requirements
You need access to the Admin > Boarding section of the application.
How to create boarding tasks
Go to Admin > Boarding - Tasks. You will get an overview of the already existing tasks. In the top right corner, click on Add boarding task. In the wizard, fill in the following fields:
- Name
- Code : unique code
- Category: this is a predefined list called Entry category
- Check box to activate the task
- Actions: if you want the task to be performed in case of on- or offboarding.
Click Next.
Description and responsible
Add a description of the task and assign it to the person responsible for performing the task.
This can be a user within the application, or a group of users. To configure the group of users responsible for performing the task, go to Admin > General > Groups. Give the group a name, optionally a description, and check the box Waiting queue. Go to the tab members and add the users that belong to this group. We advise you to use groups instead of indicating one specific person as responsible. If the person should change over time, then you need to change this in one location if you use groups. If you don't use groups, you will have to change it on all the actions where the person needs to be altered.
When you assign the task to a group of users, one member of the group can mark the task as done and the to do will disappear on the dashboard of all members.
Setting dates
The start date defines when the action will appear on the dashboard of the responsible(s).
For the start date, you have two options: immediately or a specific date. A specific date can be a number of days, weeks or months before, after or exactly on the date the employee starts in the job.
The end date specifies the deadline. When the deadline has passed and the action was not carried out, the action will remain on the dashboard of the responsible(s). Just as for the start date, the end date can be immediately or a specific date.

The next stage of the wizard gives you an overview of the task. Go back to make corrections or click Save.
