FAQ 1: I can't see the "Competence management" in my tools. Why not?
In order to see the Competence management you need to have the necessary user rights.
Above that, you should meet at least one of these 2 conditions:
- you should be Training Coordinator for at least one (active) organizational unit
(in that case, you will see all employees who belong to org. units of which you are the TC)
OR - you should be manager of at least 1 employee
(in that case, you will see all employees of whom you are manager)
As soon as these 2 conditions are met, you will have access to the Competence management tool.
FAQ 2: I can not see all of the employees in the "Competence management", but my colleague - who has the same rights as me - can. Why is that?
As mentioned above, you need to be Training Coordinator for at least one org. unit OR be manager of at least one employee.
In the Competence management you will be only see the employees of the org. units of which you are the Training Coordinator or the employees of whom you are manager.
So, if you colleague can see more employees than you can, that is probably because they are Training Coordinator of more org. units than you.
FAQ 3: How can I check for which org. units I am (not) assigned as Training Coordinator?
The easiest way to check this, is through the Organizational units report. You can get this from
Admin > Organizational data > Organizational units > "Export organizational units to Excel".
In this report you can see for each of your org. units which role is taken by which employee (group).
The column "Training coordinator" contains the info you need for this case.
If the TC is just one person, it's quite clear who the TC is.
However, if the TC is a group of employees, you need to check who exactly is a member of this group, in order to see who has acces to the Competence management of that particular org. unit.
You can find this info under Admin > Organizational data > Employee groups. Here you can look up for each group, who is a member and has acces to the Competence Management through this. If needed, you can delete / add members here.
If you add a person in a particular group, that person will have access to all org. units for which this group is TC (if they have the required user rights).
If you don't have access to this section "Admin > Organizational data > Employee groups", please ask a colleague with the necessary admin rights to do this for you.
