Introduction

In the software there is an option to create a training program. This functionality allows the administrator to combine a number of trainings (from the catalog). It is also the administrator who can subscribe an employee as a participant for the training program.

Once an employee is subscribed to a training program, the application will automatically check which trainings were already completed by the employee. The remaining trainings from that training program will appear for the employee in the section "To be scheduled".

An example of potential usage of a training program is "Manager Program" - a set of trainings someone needs to follow in preperation of becoming a manager.

The training program doesn't have the option to indicate in which order the training should be followed.

Also the purpose of this functionality is not to follow-up on required trainings. Therefore it is better to use the training matrix.

Requirements

• Access to the Training Admin with the option "Training programs" enabled

Steps to create a training programs

Via "Admin" - "Training programs" (under Training) you can click on "Add training program" where you can give the training program a Name and indicate if it is active or not.

Next you can add Trainings to this new Training program by clicking the tab "Trainings" and "Add training".

In the same way you can add Participants by clicking on the tab "Participants" and "Add particpant". 

Visibility for the employee

The employee can see the effect of a training program in 2 places:

• In "My courses" in the section "To be scheduled" the trainings from the training program that haven't been followed yet, will appear.
  Next to the name of the training, the application also shows the name of the Training program so that employee knows why the training appears in his/her overview.
• In the "Catalog" there is an option "Advanced search". There the user will find a filter "Training program which allows the user to search on the trainings linked to that training program.
  Only active Training programs will appear in the dropdown field for filtering.
